Why can't I get rid of my acne?

Many people suffer from acne. There are so many products out there that promise results. The problem with a lot of these skincare companies are the products are way too harsh on the skin. Some of these products contain ingredients that can clog pores. Over the counter skincare products only work on the superficial layers of the skin. This means most of your over-the-counter skin care products cannot possibly penetrate far enough down in the skin to work on the live skin cells.

The way I go about reversing acne is to look at the body as a whole. After gathering information I can get a better understanding of the kind of acne you have and the possible reasons why your particular acne is surfacing.

Did You know?

A lot of products that claim to be antiaging can actually speed up the aging process. I f you are using products that are wrong for your skin, this too can speed up the aging process. A lot of what we are being told by professionals, friends, etc is to exfoliate. This may be beneficial for some from time to time, however, it is not for everyone. Exfoliating can lead to irritation, sensitization, dehydrated and thin skin.

The functions of our skin starts to decline at the age of 25 and about 1% every year after. When we hit 50, our skin is only functioning at around 75%.
